In Season

The various climatic changes that occur in weather patterns throughout the year are known as seasons. Flowers and seasons are intimately bound to each other. Most flowers are season-specific, although some flowers are not particularly affected by seasonal changes and can be found throughout the year. Examples of these types of flowers include: Alstroemeria, Anthuriums, Aster, Bouvardia, Carnation, Chrysanthemum, Gerbera Daisy, Lily, Asiatic Lily.

Spring Flowers:

Spring is the time of growth and renewal for new plant and animal life. Spring comes at different times in the North and South Hemispheres. Spring time in the Northern hemisphere is between March – May, and between September – November in the Southern hemisphere. Most flowering plants bloom during spring time. Therefore, flowers that bloom only during spring (Spring Flowers) bloom at different times in the two hemispheres.

Summer Flowers:

Summer is the time of hot and warm weather. Floral growth is the best in the summer season. The Northern hemisphere experiences Summer during June – August, while in Southern hemisphere it’s during December – February.

Autumn Flowers:

Autumn is the season of the primary harvest. Autumn falls during September – November in the Northern hemisphere, and during March – May in the Southern hemisphere. Crops are harvested during Autumn. Leaves change color and are at their beautiful best in the Fall.

Winter is the season of cold weather. The season occurs during December – February in Northern hemisphere and during June – August in the Southern.
